March has been a busy and productive month for ARES.
The weather has been challenging to say the least, and many are wishing for
spring to arrive. The flowers are starting to bloom and the trees are
budding, however the weather has shown to have a mind of its own.
We are in the process of updating
the NET Rosters and the databases for ARES. If your name doesn't get
called on the current roster for the ARES NET, we don't have an application for
you. The process of updating all the files is required for us to have an
efficient working database when an emergency occurs.
Hello, everyone
March has been a great month for ARES. Sandie (KE7KKU) and I (AD7DY) attended
the North Club meeting in February, and got 10 applications for membership. I
also attended the March meeting, where I distributed the new cards. Great group
of folks there in the North, I am joining the North Mason Amateur Radio
Emergency Services Club, and look forward to more meetings there. We now have a
total of 29 members; I still have a few cards to finish (need pictures!). If you
or someone you know would like to become a member, please contact me, or Sandie,
and fill out an application. Thanks to all of you, as I have said before,
volunteers are very special, you are my heroes, I am very proud to be associated
with you all. 73!

Digital Radio, in Montesano, WA. All participants reported a good turnout
and an enjoyable class. Thank You, Jerry!
March 5, - Sound Shake
2008 drill took place. Participation by ARES Members was outstanding and a
special Thanks to all of you. Our drills and exercises prepare us by practice,
to perform to the best of our ability when and if the need should arise.
