The Annual Earthquake Drill

The Annual Earthquake Drill: The goal is to encourage, support and empower local governments, state agencies, schools, volunteer organizations, businesses and other privately sponsored groups who desire to increase their level of preparedness or engage in preparedness programs. The ultimate goal is individual self-sufficiency for at least three days following a disaster. It is held in April of each year.

Thurston County ARES/RACES conducts several types of net check-ins during the event from various locations using both voice and data modes on emergency power. See the Events Calendar for more.
